2023-06-30 16:19:10

PRESS RELEASE

  • Analytical Coverage Support Programme 4.0 for 2023-2025, covering 59 Main Market companies, launches on 3 July 2023
  • To amplify the impact of the analyst reports on investor interest in the companies covered, the Programme framework has been modified: the new criteria for qualifying companies for in Programme 4.0 include the free float market value and the status of issuer on the GPW Main Market

In the Exchange’s Analytical Coverage Support Programme 4.0, investment firms produce analytical reports financed by GPW. The objective of the Programme is to improve the availability of analytical reports for less liquid companies, enabling investors to make informed investment decisions based on a reliable independent source of information about the issuers. A total of 59 companies listed on the Main Market have qualified to participate in the Programme.

“We are launching the fourth edition of the Analytical Coverage Support Programme for the period 2023-2025. Twelve investment firms take part in the edition 4.0, and they have proposed a total of 77 companies. In accordance with the Programme Rules, 59 companies have qualified for the Programme. Brokers will prepare analytical reports for them in the next two years, until the end of June 2025. We expect the first reports in the first half of September,” said Izabela Olszewska, GPW Management Board Member.

Companies representing 33 sectors of the economy will participate in the Programme 4.0, mainly software (5), new technologies (4), construction materials (4), and renewable energy (3). The capitalisation of the companies in the Programme ranges from approximately PLN 51 million to approximately PLN 2 billion, with an average capitalisation of approximately PLN 375 million (as at 31 May 2023).

The Programme is open to companies listed on the Main Market as at 31 May 2023 (excluding those participating in the WIG20 index) which have not been covered by analyst reports in Polish in the last 12 months or have been covered by analyst reports provided by no more than one analyst (analyst reports containing a valuation and a directional recommendation). This number does not include analyst reports produced under previous editions of the Programme (a company which has participated in Programme 3.0 and is additionally covered by an entity outside the Programme may participate in the current edition). Additional requirements include the criterion of capitalisation of at least PLN 50 million (as at 31 May 2023) and free float exceeding 20% (as at 31 May 2023).

More than 2,400 reports have been published under the Programme since 2019. Analyst reports prepared in the previous three editions are available on GPW’s website and the websites of Exchange Members, and are distributed by major domestic and foreign agencies and industry media.
